I like to think that at first, Jensen tried to give him the overly professional, not horribly friendly bullshit at first, and Jeff just shut his ass down, and pulled him into the Daddy!Hug with that very aimiable "Fuck you, we're going to be friends. Here have a joint" way Jeff has.
