That is a distinct possibility, though it probably wouldn't be for a while, maybe after Stanford. I could see Sam stumbling over it and just feeling like he was gut punched to realize that Dean truly chose hunting, not just out of a lack of options. Especially if that wasn't the only report card John saved that Dean hid to keep Sam in the dark.

And yeah, I can totally see Dean as a good student. Because honestly, if you suck and are obnoxious, you're going to get attention in a public school. Whereas if you do the work, and keep your head down, you can slip by mostly unnoticed.
