Excellent! I think those folk who write Dean as a rebellious student, acting out, flunking, etc, forget his ability to fit in *anywhere*. Yes, that would include school. No, I don't think John would allow his kids to flunk-he CARES about them, even if he doesn't expect they'll go to college, thank you. Plus, it would draw attention to have a little hooligan getting detention from fighting all the time and Dean's too smart for *that*, too.


And Dean IS a good person. He's got his faults, but he genuinely cares about people-and made his own choice to dedicate his life to that. The fact that he has fun doing it is just icing on a tasty cake.


This is one of the "smart!Dean" fics that I wish we could get the scriptwriters to read and emulate. Because YES.
