Despite the power outage and subsequent bailing of the sump pump, managed to have a good, and productive weekend. *nod*
Saturday, didn't do that much post bailing. Had tasty pizza from Domino's, enjoying their 3 for $15 deal immensely. Sunday, we decided to take the puppy for a walk over at Double Rock park, mainly because their trail is paved. Of course, he decided that he was going off-road, and we ended up rock climbing as usual. Came home, gave the dog a bath, as he'd spent quite a bit of time in the river (this is the dog that hates baths, or the hose, but get him near a body of water, and he'll fling himself in, whether you want him to or not.) Then, we went to Ikea with Shelly for lunch. I love the Ikea caffe. It's the best place to get food that tastes good, is inexpensive, and for the most part, is good for you. (Swedish meatballs being the exception, obviously.) I had chicken marsala, Jess had the herbed poached salmon, and Shelly had these really tasty roasted vegetables with a salad. Totalled, I think we paid $16 for the three of us, and ate out on the deck. Froze our butts off, but it was worth it.
After that, we went to a Halloween Adventure and played around. I'm thinking that for Halloween, I'm going to buy a cotton-candy pink wig, wear my coven robe and call myself Tonks. *nod* All I'll need is to make an Auror badge, and of course, a wand. (Considering the number of downed tree branches in our yard, that's really not a problem.)
Then, we putzed around in Home Depot for a bit, which was fun. We're going to pick up some ornamental cabbage and some chrysathamums to plant. I just love the touch of color it gives the yard.
Then, home for dinner and Iron Chef America, which I've become a thorough addict of. *shrug* I can't explain it either.
