We finally finished work on our herb garden last weekend, getting thoroughly sunburned in the process. But on the plus side, we'll have tasty fresh herbies to put in our food soon. Yay!

Also, as gacked from [livejournal.com profile] sorchar there's a new site opening this summer that's aiming at giving paypal a run for it's money called GreenZap. If you pre-register, they'll put $25 in your account when they open, which you can either spend online, or have it transfered into your bank account. For more info, go right here.

Here's the potted herbs. Sage, thyme, basil, garlic and regular chives, woodruff, cilantro, chammomile, lavender, rosemary, marjoram, parsley and dill. Oh, and chocolate mint, but that got segregated in a second pot due to the tendency for mint to take over.

Here's Jess taking the drill to the plastic baby pool that we used as a giant planter.

Here's the dirt filled baby pool, which required two trips to the nursery with three large rubbermaid containers to fill. Erg.

And here it is, all planted up, with a nice little fence around it to keep the wildlife away.

Post planting, Kyan and I take a break.

My lovely wife with her newly trimmed hair. (this is my new desktop picture!)

Kyan showing off his phenomenal cuteness.

So, that was the weekend that was.

Yesterday, we went to our first chair dance class. Oh, Lord and Lady, my muscles are pissy today!

Jess looks like she's trying to drill her foot! Heehee!

Your garden looks lovely. It's so exciting to cook using food that you grew yourself. I can't wait for all my new vegetables to start vegetating! :-D

*grin* I'm looking forward to that, too!

We're borrowing a tiller soon, so that next time we have a nice day, we can till a veggie garden. *grin* Can't wait for that, either!

You're such a sweetie. We had a great time despite getting royally sunburned in the process.

I'm glad to hear that things are going well for you, and that the evil English test is over. *snuggle* I don't get nearly enough of a chance to catch up with you these days.

Ah, he's such a little porker. But I love my baby. And thank you! *blush*

We're looking forward to having fresh herbs soon!
