Cheetah chrome and ruby red naugahyde, I bet my life on snake eyes, I don't mind

Yesterday was a busier day than expected. I got up early and had my coffee, then went to do my errands. I headed off to get gas in my car and some cash for tip, and then headed to my Chinese Head Spa.

It was in a nice little building down a half flight of stairs, but that was okay. They weren't horribly steep or anything. My tech was the sweetest thing. they had me strip my top off and put on a velcro towel around the boobs, and go sit in a chair to have my scalp examined. It was quite dirty. My shampoo left a bit of a build up. She did a little seated scalp massage, just to loosen me up.

Then, it was over to the table, where I laid back and got comfy, and had a jade eye mask put over my eyes and infrared light put on me. Then, the scritching and washing of the hair began. It was lovely. Relaxing and good asmr. I also got my shoulders and arms petted. No neck or shoulder massage, because I think MD has wonky laws that to do that you have to have a massage license. Still, it was awesome even without that. After an hour of laying, my back and shoulder were getting a little sore, so I was a bit gimpy post treatment. I got dressed, and we admired my clean and shiny hair with the little scalp machine.

Then, it was back home, where my sister admitted that she was really hurting and didn't think she could do three days straight at the hospital, so back out I went. Dad's doing pretty well, just very tired. He's off bipap onto a regular oxygen cannula. He woke up here and there and responded appropriately, so that's good. I'm sure there will be some cognitive issues, but we'll see what they're going to be. His voice is still scratchy and high pitched from the vent tube.

After that, we had just enough time to stop at the Indian Buffet to grab some lunch before we came home for game. It's funny, if you had asked baby me about Indian food, I would have assumed I'd never try it. That's what comes from growing up in a whitebread family who considered Sweet and Sour Chicken daring. I'm still not horribly adventurous, but I do love Indian Food. It's become a bit of a comfort meal for me. I stuffed Paneer Korma and Butter chicken and Mandarin Aloo like a champ. And the tea. The milky Himalayan tee that they have in a thermos at the end of the buffet.

After that, super full, we came home and played the second half of a one shot (and managed to finish it.)

Today, I'm a little sore and achy, possibly from the scalp treatment bed, or possibly from the shitty chairs they have in his room.

It's hopefully going to be a mostly quiet day, though I'll probably run someone over to see Dad. For now though, I'm going to have some coffee and relax. Everyone have the very best Sunday!

I hope your dad gets to feeling better soon.

I tried Indian food, and it's one I just can't get behind. lol I'm game to try most things once, and my boss loves indian, so he bought it for us all once for lunch and I just don't like it... something about the seasoning(s) they use... ended up bringing it home for J. I know what you mean about growing up in a whitebread family, but I do love spicy foods and chinese is one of my favorites, with spicy, the spicier the better. I really liked this Lebanese restaurant I went to with my mom once, too. I had this like been roll thing, it was similar to a hamburger patty, but instead of a patty, it was long like a susage link, but much bigger. They seasoned it was cinnamon or nutmeg, or at least something that tasted like it and it was oddly delicious. lol Sorry for rambling. lol
