Ah, the sweet smell of the weekend! It's going to be a busy one, too. I've got games tonight and all day tomorrow, then one on Sunday. It should be a lot of fun!
Yesterday was kind of a mixed bag. On one hand, work was boring. On the other, the last two and a half hours was the party, so I didn't have to work the full day. The crabs they got were excellent. They weren't a terrible size, probably mediums with some smalls thrown in. They were all you can eat, and very tasty. They also had steamed corn and loaded potatoes. They also had karaoke but I skipped that. I got my branded swag, ate my crabs and corn and headed back to my desk to cool off. It was a little warm in the tent. I did grab a cotton candy on my way to my desk. All in all, it was a very nice event, and it was nice to have a reason to slack off work early. Still would rather have a cost of living increase instead, but oh well.
One cool thing happened during the morning. I was sitting there, very tired and kind of blah, and I got an email inviting me for an interview/testing at the Harford County 911 center. So, I have an interview on Sunday at 9. I guess when you run 24hrs/7days it doesn't matter if you schedule on weekdays or weekends. poisontaster pointed out, I don't need this job. I might want it, but if I don't get it, I've got a steady job that pays reasonably decent. I'm going to try to remember that.
I was beginning to think that I'd fired my resume into the black hole, but I guess government jobs just are slow to respond. Hopefully, I have a few more hit me up soon.
Not a whole lot going on today. Mostly prep work for the games tomorrow. I've got the plot for MotW pretty good. Just need to write it down and come up with names. The GM's nemesis. Mad Mage is going to need some extra work. We left it in a precarious position, and I need to decide which path I want to choose for the next step. It's a difficult choice. Both options could be fun, but either one will require some prep work. If I have time, I may prep both and see what they do. Oh, and I just thought of a third option. Damn. I will think on this.
