Be the good girl you always have to be
And somehow, annoyingly, we're back to Sunday and work. Boo. I didn't want to get out of bed for sure. But I did, and here I am, knocking back coffee.
Yesterday was a good day, despite the cat waking me early. We went to Juicy King Crab House for lunch. I felt a little bad for them, because we were waiting for them to open the door. They threw the bolt, just had time to get back behind the podium, and there we were. We'd gotten carryout from there, but never eaten at the restaurant. It was SO good. I had a boil bag with 1/2lb of shrimp, a cluster of snow crab legs, corn and potatoes, and then because I was feeling extra, I threw in a lobster tail. Jess had a fried chicken po'boy, making me look like a total piggy. I had it done in garlic butter and it was SO good. I ate every last bit. I'm a sucker for shellfish, and I don't eat it that often, because it's expensive as fuck. This actually wasn't horrible, about $88 with tip. For what we got, I didn't think it was bad. Definitely not something I could do every week, but once in a while, it might be good.
After that, we came home, so my sister could go see Dad. He's apparently doing pretty well. Slowly gaining strength. We took him over a calendar I'd made on Vistaprint of the animals that he loves.
I took a short midday nap, didn't sleep a bit but a cat lay on me for two hours. She's so very sweet when she gets all cuddly. She was snoring softly for a good chunk of the time.
That evening, we played Grammy's Country Apple Pie which was a strange little module. I threw a combat in early on, but aside from that, it was all role play. Not shockingly for my group, they unionized the goblins, and taught them how to make Grammy's famous pies, and now they're opening a small business.
No game tonight, but I do have a Confab meeting that starts at 3:30, so I'll be listening in on that. I put in for the time off, but I haven't gotten an answer yet. Either way, I'll probably be leaving at 2:30.
I do have the delivery updates today, so that'll be fun as usual. I'll be happy to duck out at 2:30.
Okay, I'm going to drink my coffee and get myself together. Everyone have a wonderful Sunday!
