Yesterday seems as though it never existed

So, short one today. It's been...an eventful morning. Came upstairs to the dulcet sounds of dad coughing his brains out. Aside from that, he seemed fine, but then he didn't eat breakfast and started seeming weaker, so Jess finally ended my waffling and called 911. He is currently on his way to the hospital, with presumed covid. This was not how I wanted my morning to go, but I'm also kind of relieved that he's not my responsibility. We were told to wait to come to the hospital, since if he does have covid, he'll be quarantined and we won't be able to visit.

I feel horrible about that, since he's really deaf, and it'll make him feel more isolated and afraid, but there's also nothing I can do about it.

So, my day has changed to "sit by the phone and wait for a call."

My sister feels horrible, since she's the one who brought it into the house.

So, this was a fun morning.
