All the rumors are true, yeah
Not looking forward to work this week. The two coworkers I cover for are both out the rest of the week, and Delivery updates are running 290 updates behind, without pulling the 4pm run yesterday. So I am coming in to a shit show. I don't know if I'll be able to even get the NDRs done, we shall see. It's going to be a very frustrating week, I think.
Jess' appointment went as well as possible, so now we shall wait for a report to materialize in the portal. Or for their doctor to call. Either would be good. Unless the endo is really advanced, it probably won't show up on the ultrasound. But, you can't get an MRI unless you have an ultrasound, so sayeth the insurance companies.
dine had a question about top 5 movies, and I really had to stop and think about whether I do have five movies that I'd consider my favorites. And of course favorites does not equal best. These are just the five movies that I might find myself rewatching on a rainy day, or when I'm sick or feeling down. Most of them will not qualify as great cinema.
1. Tim Burton's Batman. The Batman of my little teenage heart. Over the top, but it made an impression on me.
2. Iron Man. This was the beginning of the MCU, and it was amazing to see this character brought to life.
3. Pacific Rim. Today, we are cancelling the apocalypse! Seriously beautiful cinematography, and giant robots beating the hell out of kaiju. What could be better? Oh yes, Idris Elba and Rinko Kikuchi. In other news, yup, still bisexual. We don't speak of the sequel.
4. Captain America: Winter Soldier. The movie that launched my foray into Marvel fandom. Still the best movie they've made. And so much pretty stuffed in one movie. The murder strut!
5. This is the rotating spot. Right now, it is securely occupied by Glass Onion, which I absolutely loved. I will probably watch it again in the near future, and will definitely own it at some point. Previously, it was inhabited by Top Gun: Maverick, which hit me in the nostalgia.
Honorable mentions involve so many questionable (and a few not so questionable) choices like Transformers, Venom, Guardians of the Galaxy the various Star Wars movies.
Okay, time to consider getting my ass together for work, I suppose. Ew. Okay, everyone have a wonderful Tuesday!
