I guess my oasis was really a cage
As per the usual, I had a kitty sleeping with me this morning, and I did not want to get up and disturb her. With some gymnastics, I managed to extricate myself, and she is currently curled in a ball next to Jess in bed. She made a little grumble noise when I got up, which make me squee a little. She's such a good kitty.
Today is Monday in all it's Monday-ness. I am sitting here, trying to wake my ass up with copious coffee. It doesn't seem to be working particularly well. I won't have anything exciting to do at work, probably just the pending returns queue. Maybe I'll work on the manual of how to work it while I'm at it. Maybe not. I'm not feeling horribly enthusiastic, I've gotta say. Obviously a second cup of coffee is in order.
Yesterday was mostly a social day. I did my work, and chatted with a few people most of the day. I did get all my work done before making it social hour, though.
Jess and I have decided that if we can work it, we're going to get tattoos during our Disney trip. I don't know what exactly I want to get, but I did find a studio about half an hour from our hotel with artists that I really liked. Even better, Jess liked one artist and I liked the other, so we could conceivably get them at the same time. I've emailed them both, but since the shop is closed on Sunday and Monday, I don't expect to hear back for a little while yet. The idea is to go on our last full day in Florida, after we finish in the Magic Kingdom. We'll go, get tattooed, and then come back to the hotel and eat our faces off, then watch the fireworks from the club lounge or beach on our last night to finish off the vacation. I'm figuring on my left calf, so it won't be rubbing against anything on the drive home. Right now, I'm thinking a watercolor tattoo, but I'm wildly flipflopping on what I want. I may just end up doing a simple Mickey head outline in the negative space of the watercolor. Or Maleficent. I am a fan of evil queens, and she has a distinctive outline. Or, the castle, which would be a good commemoration of the trip. I will think on it and haunt pinterest looking. I may just give my tattoo artist a parameter and see what he comes up with. We're planning to use MasterPiece Tattoo Studio . Jess is using Jayme and I'd be going to Gee.
I also played D&D last night. One of the two games in which I'm a player! I proved that DM's are the biggest chaos muppet players. My character's refrain was "Okay, I'm going to do the stupid thing now!" It all worked out for us, but I'm pretty sure she stressed the other characters out something fierce. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to doing it again in a couple of months.
