Fab Five Freddy told me everybody's fly
The week, it slowly is moving on. We're down two days on my week, with three to go. Yesterday wasn't bad for updates until the 4pm run. Then we had a handful of them, so I'm sure they'll be some left over this morning, which is not unusual. I'm hoping that it isn't the harbinger of heavier updates, but we shall see.
Until 4, the day was definitely quiet. No markets came in, and I had the woman who's really fast at updates, so we were out by 2:30, and she was working in the inbox. I even did some emails to stave off boredom.
It's been weird having everyone off. I have one person to talk to and she gets caught up in work and may not respond for an hour. I don't like it. I miss having J&M to chat with. It's going to be worse on Thursday when I have to go to the office. I'll be sitting alone in my little corner away from everyone.
Still no word what they're doing with us when our current manager, W, leaves. Depending on how she did it, she may be done at the end of this week, or she may be here til Wednesday of next week. We're supposed to have a team meeting on Thursday in person, so maybe we'll know something then. I mean, to be honest, my former manager S has continued to be more influential than W has the entire time I've been her employee. I'm really hoping that they switch us back to S until they can get a new person. I miss him. He called me both Sunday and Monday with various questions that he wanted a second opinion on.
If I end up with the other manager, C, I'll be disappointed, but I do like her as a person, so maybe it won't be too bad. She's on the equality, diversity and inclusion committee with me, so it's been helpful to get a little better acquainted with her.
Apparently, at least a few other managers have quit as well, so there may be some positions opening. Not that I'm likely to get them, but I'll still apply. I'm apparently a glutton for rejection. It would be nice if they'd give me some fucking feedback on what they actually want, so I could work on obtaining the skills they're asking for.
I've added my D&D skills to my resume. "Led a conflict resolution session." "Flexible and able to pivot to best serve coworker and business needs." Aka, I'm a DM, and I'm good at pulling stuff out of my ass when the plot needs a little massaging.
I started reading the module I'm DMing for Jess' friends. I didn't get far on it, but it seems pretty thorough, so that's good. It'll be interesting to see what it's like to have such a small group. Only three people instead of my usual 7-9. It should be interesting. That's not til the 6th, though. First up, we have Frostmaiden and Witchlight this weekend. Fortunately, I don't need to do much prep for either, though I'll reread through the part of the module they're going to be doing.
Okay, I suppose it's time to go forth and get myself together for work. I definitely need more coffee. Everyone have a good Tuesday!

My resume is set up so it has the work experience on the left, and "soft skills" on the right, so I included it there.
The recommendation was to include anything team related, or that shows you can complete projects or volunteer work. You don't have to say that it's hobby related, just add in that skill, and if they ask more questions about it, you can figure out what to say.
