Cause every now and then, I kick the living shit out of me
Tuesday equals my hump day! We're halfway to the weekend (for me)!
Yesterday was busier than I'd expected, as I'd blocked out the fact that it was my day to do the inbox. My partner was out, so it was just me doing it. It was fairly busy, so I didn't really get too many breaks. On one hand, at least I wasn't bored. On the other, I did so many of the same cases over and over again, which is its own form of monotony. None of the markets came in, so I'll have something to do this morning, which'll be good.
The new Anne Bishop book "Crowbones" comes out today, which I'm really looking forward to. I seem to have accidentally gotten it in both audio and print, so I'll have to decide which I want to do. On one hand, I've mostly done those in audiobooks. On the other, I kind of want to mainline it, and reading's faster. Her books usually cater directly to my Id. The were-crows boogeyman comes to town? Yes, please.
Next week is the Kaiju Protection Society by John Scalzi, which just sounded interesting. It's nice to have books to look forward to. Of course, after that, there's a bit of a lull, so I'll have to see what else I can find to read.
We got word yesterday that the mask mandate at work is ending. Masking is now encouraged, but not mandatory. They will pry that mask off my face pretty much never. It makes me just thrilled to go back in office, I've gotta say. At least that's not for a month yet, and it seems like a lot of my team is planning to continue.
I of course, totally forgot to take out anything for dinner, so it looks like it's porkchops tonight, since they're the only thing that'll defrost in time. Our next Goodchop order doesn't come til next Friday or Saturday, so we're back to Walmart meat. This is very sad. I'm debating on what to cook first when it comes in. I'm thinking the ribeye steaks.
I suppose I should go consider the merits of pants. I don't really want to, but I want to sit at my desk in my nightgown even less. Okay, time to get my shit together. Have a good Tuesday everyone!

Sorry, that's a wall of text to say, yes, I love them, but it's probably not for everyone. If I haven't scared you off, the first book in the series is Written in Red
