Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup
And that quickly, it's Monday again. It's bound to be a boring day for me, as I wait for the markets to come in. If any of them come before I leave it'll be amazing. My job is very much feast or famine when it comes to work. Sometimes, I can find other stuff to do, but some days are very quiet, and there's literally nothing to do. Also, when something comes in, I tend to work it very quickly and methodically, and get it done. I don't know if I'm capable of slowing down to draw it out. It's just not my style.
Yesterday, I had all my markets in the morning, and poking at the inbox in the afternoon once in a while. Unfortunately, the person who was the primary person in the inbox was competent, so there wasn't a whole lot to do. (Also, she's been known to get proprietary about it, so I kept my poking to a minimum.)
Once off work, I made dinner. We've now tried every variety of meat from the Good Chop box. We still have another pack of chicken left over for later in the week, but we've tried everything. The sirloin steaks were really amazing. I cooked them simply, just salted them and cooked them in a pan, letting them sear nicely and get to medium rare. We ended up with very tender, very flavorful steaks that left everyone wanting more. (The portions were good, it just was the kind of thing you could just keep eating.) All in all, very impressed with Good Chop and will be happy in a few weeks when my next box arrives. If I could switch the box to every 2 weeks, I would, because Walmart meat is going to suck after this. If anyone is interested in the boxes, you can find my link right here
Then, after dinner, we went and picked up Sam's calorie supplement from Petco. He's not put on as much weight as I'd hoped, still skinny as fuck, but I guess it'll take time. And to be fair, I haven't been that good at remembering to put the medicine on twice a day. I'm going to try to do better at that, and hopefully with the extra calories, he'll chunk up a little.
I've got a meeting for the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion committee next week. Waiting to find out if it's onsite or virtual. I'm hoping with them getting ready to do the new equipment swap, it'll be virtual, but we shall see. With the positivity rate down to under 3%, they may go for in person. I'll deal either way.
Okay, it's about time to get myself together for work. Everyone have a lovely Monday!

the Good Chop meats sound delicious, but I probably couldn't get through a box before the next would arrive, and my freezer isn't that large.
