Ramadan Kareem! A blessed Ramadan to those who celebrate.
I did not want to get up this morning. I've technically been awake since 5, but I was comfortable and warm and I could probably have stayed there another hour or so. Now I'm upright and I just feel kind of blah. Allergy season is in full swing, so my head is kind of stuffed up and woofly.
Still working on the project at work. We've finally got it down under 1000, so that's something. It was standing at 969 when I left, so it is getting done--it's just very slow. Hopefully, today, my markets come in early so I can get them done and get back to the project.
It's almost time for Yoda's day of beauty, so it must be poopy butt time. He's got grooming on Saturday, so I'm not worried about it, but I feel bad that we dump him off on his groomer with poop on his butt every month.
I made pork chops last night in a maple/soy/ginger/garlic marinade. I put them in the marinade at 12, so they had a good five hours to stew. It turned out pretty good! They even worked for me, and pork usually is a problem with my post Covid taste buds. I think next time, I might put them in the marinade even earlier. I think that would make them even better. Downside, since they were big, I'd only gotten one pork chop per person, and I think we all could have eaten more. Ah well, I'll know better next time. I didn't expect everyone to like it so much. The pork chops can definitely go on the dinner rotation.
It's been almost a year since I got my Pixelbook, and aside from the issues with Discord not picking up my microphone, it's been awesome. I especially like the fast charging time, and long battery life. It takes about two hours to fully charge, and that'll last me for two days of pretty heavy usage. I plugged it in when I got up at 6, because it was down to 5% battery, and it'll be fully charged in another 14 minutes. It's a good little computer, and I love it.
Okay, time for more coffee, and then off to work.
