Getting good at starting over, every time that I begin

Of course, this morning around 5:15, a kitty came in and flopped down on me, so I had to disturb her when my alarm went off. I of course, felt like a monster for moving her as she went and gave me a sulky look when I got out of bed. If it wasn't a work day, I'd probably have stayed there for a little longer, though Boodle isn't happy without multiple hours.

Work was busy yesterday. I got my markets done first thing, then worked on the project. We're down to 1200 orders, and slowly making headway. I had some help, which made it go faster than it would have otherwise. Several of them were there til 8, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they're down to this morning. Of course, some of the cases needed to be corrected, because people didn't understand the brief, or possibly my manager didn't understand it? Whatever, he's pointing people at me now, so they'll get done correctly.

I slept hard last night, so I'm a little sore today. Also, I bent down in the shower to wash my legs, and cracked my head on the grab bar, so that's a little tender as well. I have a little lump. No one said I was the most graceful person in the world.

I've been thinking about the future lately. No real reason, but it occurred to me that eventually (hopefully not for a while), Dad's going to pass. The house is under a reverse mortgage, and I don't know that we'll be able to afford to keep it. I've been thinking that I might want to try for a job with IKEA Sweden. It would be a huge adjustment, but it might be worth giving it a go. I'd try for Canada, but I'd likely have to go alone and wait for Jess to get in, and I don't want that. As long as you can get a job paying more than 13,000 euros a year, Sweden seems pretty chill. In the meantime, I'm going to start trying to pay down my debt, and get my credit score back to a reasonable level. In the meantime, I'm going to start up on Duolingo again. I suck at languages, but I'll try.

It's not anything that's going to happen soon, but it helps to have something to plan towards.

it's tragic when you have to disturb the kitty by getting up! can't you just stay in bed providing a human mattress forever?

sorry you cracked your head - hope you didn't end up with a headache to go with the bump

Dre LOVED Sweden, and while it’d be useful to speak Swedish, most people also speak English, so you guys should be able to get along fine. I’m not sure how disabled friendly it is, tho. It’s a lot of walking, from what I understand.
