Count the blessings that are real
Interesting note--staying up later does not have the slightest bearing on when I wake up. We were up late after the D&D game, but I was still awake at 6am.
Sam kindly did not come in last night, so I actually got to sleep through the night, and I was awake when he came in howling and wanted under the covers. I laid there petting him for another half hour before I finally had to get up. He was very sweet. Aside from driving us occasionally up the wall at night, and when it's getting close to dinner time for shitbabies, Sam is the sweetest cat. Just tolerant, and happy for attention. He's dumb as hell--you can literally hear the elevator music in his brain when you look into his eyes.
Still no stimulus check. *sigh* Ah well. Hopefully, it'll come soon. Dad got his, so they're trickling out.
Last night was D&D! Hopefully fun was had by all. It was a little chaotic, as the new party got to know each other, and the new players got to know each other. Four of them are also part of my Monster of the Week game, so that helped. The team killed some Goblins, and a Yeti, and wow, I really need to scale my encounters up. The Yeti went down having only done a single bit of damage, and having a slap fight with a large wolverine, that is one of my player's mounts. Tricky part is that I don't know where the players are going next, so I'm going to have to review all the modules. My players leveled up at the end of the night, so that was a bonus. Roll20 was a little glitchy for some people, so we'll see how that goes as time rolls on.
The next game is on the 15, and MotW is on the 16. It will be a game-heavy weekend, and I will have some prep work to do.
