Day 13 and Covid continues to be bullshit

I seem to have turned the corner and am slowly improving. No more fever, at least. Still coughing a lot,and just fatigued as hell. I’ve spent so much time napping.

I know I need the rest, but damn, I feel useless right now. I can’t take the dog out, because the cold air makes the cough ramp up to scary can’t catch my breath levels. I get winded going up stairs. I’m basically a mildly functional statue.

I have no real appetite, because my sense of smell/taste is all fucked up. All I want is some decent French onion soup.

I’m also whiny as fuck, in case you couldn’t tell.

I did buy all the extended editions of the Lord of the Rings, and the first two Resident Evil movies, so i have something to watch. The second of the Resident Evil movies is a comfort movie for me. Plus Oded Fehr, who could read the phone book to make me happy. Still think he’d have been an amazing Dr. Strange.

At least Jess is mostly better. I am pleased with that, because I’d rather feel like ass instead of Jess.

I'm sorry with the frustrations, but glad of improvement, no matter how small an increment.

I so miss my 5-disc DVD turntable, when I could load five of six extended LotR DVDs and press play. If I needed to get up for a potty break I'd switch out the first disc for the sixth, and resume slothful immersion.

Also I'm very much in favor of Oded Fehr, in pretty much any incarnation. The only individual who could carry off facial tattoos and still look damn stunning, IMO.
