*sigh*
So. Grandmom's still around, mostly. We seem to have a pattern. 1-1 1/2 days lucid, then 2-3 days left field, then a day of sleeping like she's comatose. Seriously, WTF? I've given up on predicting.
Thanks to BC/BS taking their sweet time with cashing my premium, I'm still not listed as enrolled with them, so I haven't been able to do any Dr visits. My neck is not amused.
I needs a nap. Also some booze.

My sister refers to it as 'crossing the veil'. The dying person is visiting both sides and making peace with passing.
Sending you strength at this difficult time.

My Gram did that for 6mo this year. She passed away 6/24/2008. She kept fighting all the way. Just enjoy the days you have, be happy when she remembers who you are even when she can't remember the year. There is no easy way through, I wish I could say differently.
Oh and BC/BS can be a bitch on premiums. Once the account is set up everything runs fine, but they always, always delay that first payment. Had to change 4 different states with them and it was always a hassle.

I hope you get some one-on-one time with her in those lucid days, it helps a lot later.
*holding you both close to my heart*
