Guilty Pleasures...

Okay, since my last post seems to be getting some response, I wanna know. Tell me your dirty little guilty pleasures!

I'll start!

I like American Gladiators, How it's Made will hypnotize me, Ratchet and Clank for the PS2 makes me absurdly happy, and Jon and Kate +8 makes my uterus fall out with the cute.

*nod*

Your turn! You can post anonymous if you want! Pimp! I wanna know!

Medium. But I have to watch it on closed captioning because I hate the sound of Patricia Arquette's voice. Anything Richard Burgi, particularly if he takes his shirt off. In fact, I really only watch it hoping he'll take his shirt off. Court shows. They are so awful, and I watch them like I eat popcorn.

I don't even consider them guilty, sadly.

One Tree Hill. The further out it gets, the more I love it. I'm hanging in for someone to get possessed.

LKH. Even now that I don't recognize Anita anymore, I can't stop reading the Anita Blake books, 'cause what if I miss something important?

European royalty. Everything from Tudor England to sexy Prince Harry, I'm obsessed with.

I watch "So You Think You Can Dance?" I know that as an actor I should boycott all reality tv shows, but it's so GOOD! They actually have DANCERS and real live CHOREOGRAPHERS! And they create such beautiful pieces. I can't help myself.

I also read Real Person Slash. I never used to! I used to thumb my nose at it... but then I got into Supernatural and all of the sudden RPS is so gooood. Its addicting and when it's done right, it's damn satisfying. By the way I totally blame you and nilchance for converting me to RPS. I was holding firm and then I started to read Deathknell and suddenly RPS was awesome.

I like to eat junk food instead of real meals. Sometimes a person just needs to eat cake for breakfast!

Heee! Works for me.

I always hated reality shows, except Mythbusters. Then, somewhere along the line that part of my brain broke.

I started in wrestling fic which is an odd amalgam of RPS/FPS, so I never had an issue with it, I guess.

My first fandom was Les Miserables. That's right a bunch of theatre/novel geeks, all sitting around breaking down the musical... and then discussing how the novel deviates or adds to the musical. Most 15 year olds go online to find porn. I went online to discuss Gavroche's chosen family (the students and his gamins), verses his biological family (The Thenadiers). My god, I'm a geek. But yeah, not a lot of RPS in Les Mis. However there is a lot of slash. Apparently Enjolras and Grantaire totally get it on, doncha know?

Supernatural is my first fandom that really embraces RPS. I've seen the rare BSG RPS, but apparently BSG is only for gen and femslash (which I think is AWESOME. For whatever reason male slash usually rules the day, but BSG? Totally loves the girl on girl action. It's even canon!)

Okay I've officially rambled enough for the wee hours of the morning (or 10am which is wee enough for me.) *g*

Music-wise, Mona and I were discussing this the other day... it's really embarrassing how much I can enjoy Fall Out Boy.

...and Paris Hilton. Shut up!

British Gladiators! Oh God. I was watching it on Challenge just (confession: it's 1 am in Britain and I'm a bottle of wine down) with my housemate. And it was first on TV when I was about ten years old. And my housemate was a little bit appalled by my ability to remember and cheer for all the female Gladiators and I'm like, dude, I was ten years old and a baby dyke and there were all these strong, athletic women on teatime TV! What's not to love?!
