Had an awesome weekend, complete with our Samhain ritual, and cuddle time with the coven and friends. Of course, Sunday I promptly came down with a cold, and did absolutely jackall, but it was still a good weekend.

The lovely Earthkat was kind enough to put video of part of our ritual up for public consumption. Since Samhain is the beginning of the Celtic calendar, we like to get rid of negativity before the new year gets started. We do this by writing the things we need to get rid of on flash paper, and stuffing it into a gutted pumpkin with the smallest possible hole carved in the top. Then, we light it, and burn away the bad stuff.

Bonus fries, is that no one will remember a damn thing about the ritual other than the negativity pumpkin. I invoked, we had a good ritual, but dammmit, the pumpkin was awesome.

Are we related? I had my Samhain ritual on Wednesday night and yeah, came down with a flue the very next day. What a way to start the new year, huh?
