Y'know...
There is nothing quite as thrilling as waking up to your mother's semi-panicked voice at 5:45 a.m., telling you to get dressed and come upstairs because "something" is "wrong" with Grandmom. She oddly however, specified that I should get clothes on first. (And y'know, I totally would have charged up buck ass naked, too--I think she knows me too well.)
Turns out that the Congestive Heart Failure was kicking up hardcore, and I got to listen to her gurgle and struggle to breathe until the ambulance got there.
It was bad enough that I called my boss and told him I wouldn't be in until I knew what was going on--I was really expecting the call from Mom saying to come down to say goodbye.
At the moment, she's stable, and I'm at work, about an hour late. Still jittering from adrenalin. I'm wondering if I can keep it going until after work, cause I have a bad feeling about the crashdown. *nod*
Weekend was pretty good, actually. Had Lammas, and quality time with the coven on Saturday, which was nice. I'm having horrible allergy issues, with a major sore throat, but I managed a decent ritual, though a relatively quick one. We burned the god, as usual--he went up like we'd doused him in kerosene, I swear. Three foot tall gout of flame, I kid you not. If Samhain's anywhere near that impressive, flame-wise, I'll be thrilled.
Spent Sunday doing little errands mostly. And relaxing a bit. Discussing the fics we're working on. Including one particular one that is still kinda weirding us both out a bit. Let's just put it like this: Liz? You're gonna be thrilled.

I'm thinking of you hon! It was hard to listen to dad when he went through that. I'll pray for the family.

Don't think this'll get you out of being spammed, though. *grin* Maybe for today, but tomorrow, I'm back on the job. *nod*
*grin* So, how do you feel about Daddy!cest?

I think we've set up a backstory that explains the reasons for it fairly well. *nod* Fucked up story, though.

I'm going to try and be around tonight, let me know if you'll be around, honey. You know where I am if you need anything.
