"Well, that's just friggin great."

It is way too early to be upright on a weekend. Yet here I am, as always.

It wouldn't be so bad if we hadn't been up til after midnight last night. Jess has a paper due about the movie Crash on Tuesday, so we rented it from Blockbuster. Then, since we passed it, we got Dead and Breakfast, mostly because, well...Jeff. If that wasn't enough, there was a commentary track that had the director, and some of the cast, including Mr. Morgan.

Let's see? An hour and a half of that voice? Count me in.

So, we watched the commentary. Planned on only doing a few minutes of it, but it was too much fun. Apparently, this was one of those "get your friends together and make a movie" type deals, because they seemed to be having way too much fun, poking at each other and being utterly profane.

And Jeff? Jeff who basically admitted that they all spent most of filming drunk and/or high? Oh, I'm sorry, it was "We were all in 'high sprits' during this scene."

Oh, my god. I adored him before, but listening to the commentary...I think I'm screwed. Funniest shit, ever. We had to pause it twice because we were howling too loud to hear the television. Turns out? Mr. Aw-shucks-easygoing is this little ball of bitchy sarcasm. I'm a sucker for that, somehow.

*grin* You just hush, [livejournal.com profile] caarirose and [livejournal.com profile] robanybody.

So, yes. Soon, we will own this particular shame, too.

I saw an advert for Dead and Breakfast (http://www.dandbfilm.com/) at last year's Horrorfind, or maybe Tim won it or something, I forget entirely how I came upon this movie. But yes, it is funny. I truely enjoyed the rodeo hoe-down scene, which frightens me on some level. hehe. I too watched it right away with the commentary.
But then, I think I watched Sean of the Dead like 10 times in one month. I love zombedies. There's a guy on my flist, Obsidian, who's making one in Baltimore if you're interested in helping or just watching the progress of such an endeavor.

*grin* I usually use zombie movies as my "sick/rainy day" movies. Don't have to be comedies, but I've got a few of those, too.

Mostly, I got this one because it's got one of my Supernatural boys in it. Found myself loving it, and now I must own it.

Oh, Jeff, oh, my hart! And yes, you must own this because it is such a hysterical movie. :D

Oh, my god, the commentary. No one warned me!

He's such a hotass snarky bitch. I want to climb him like a tree and lick him. And the beard...damn. It looks so soft and petable. Like it would feel really...nice. Not give you beard burn on your thighs or anything. *nod*

Now, I must go looking at screencaps for a new icon, dammit.

Dead and Breakfast is AWESOME. We watched it not too long ago. The music was insanely cool.

*grin* I think I love the movie. Want to have it's little twisted, stoner babies.
