Since...

I'm bored, and waiting for Jess to finish her part of Saints and tag off to me, I figure "Hey, might as well spam my friendslist."

So, for those of you who are reading it, and actuall care, I present the "Of Bastard Saints" soundtrack, with lyric snippets.
(Feel free to add any you want on here, sweetheart--this is just off my playlist and the handful of songs I remember off yours.)

First up, we have the very obvious one:

Bad Moon Rising, by CCR. "Hope you have got your things together, hope you are quite prepared to die. Looks like we're in for nasty weather, one eye is taken for an eye." How can you top that?

Next, two John-centric songs:

Hurt, Johnny Cash version. "Everyone I know goes away in the end. And you could have it all--my empire of dirt. I will let you down, I will make you hurt."

Hero of the Day, Metallica "Don't want your aid, but the fist I've made for years can't hold or feel ...But now the dreams and waking screams thatever last the night. ... Cant you hear your babies crying now?"

And then, there's Sam.

No Way Back, Foo Fighters "Lately I've been livin' in my head. The rest of me is dead, I'm dying for truth. Make me believe, no more left and right. Com on, take my side, I'm fighting for you."

Teach Your Children, Crosby Stills and Nash. "And you, of tender years, can't know the fears, that your elders grew by...Teach, your parents well, their children's hell, will slowly go by, and feed them on your dreams..."

Dean's easier, somehow.

Shot in the Dark, Ozzy Ozbourne. "Just like the wounded, when it's too late, they'll remember, they'll surrender. Never a care for the people who hate. Underestimate me now."

Mercy of the Fallen, Dar Williams. "There's the wind, and the rain, and the mercy of the fallen, who say they have no claim to know what's right. There's the weak, and the strong, and the beds that have no answers, and that's where I may rest my head tonight."

Aside from that, add in the old favorites, like Sympathy for the Devil, Highway to Hell, and some new ones like Devil's Dance Floor or Keep Yourself Alive and you've pretty much got a respectable soundtrack.

A couple additions:

Roadhouse Blues, The Doors. "Keep your eyes on the road and your hands upon the wheel/ The future is uncertain and the end is always near."

Savin' Me, Nickelback. "Show me what it's like to be the last one standing/ Teach me wrong from right, and I'll show you what I can be."

Simple Man, Lynyrd Skynyrd. Self explanatory.

Fire Water Burn, Bloodhound Gang. "We don't need no water, let the motherfucker burn. Burn, motherfucker, burn."
