blargh.
So, had a thrilling last few days, in that very not way. Apparently, there's a rash of it going around the coven right now, so guess it's my turn in the barrel.
Over the weekend, the parents were out of town, leaving me on Grandmom and dog sitting duty. I wanted to cook at some point, so that meant a total scrub-down of the kitchen, cause ew. It took me two days, working almost nonstop from Saturday at three til nine, and Sunday from ten until six. I came out of it exhausted and cranky, but with a newly clean kitchen.
Monday and Tuesday weren't bad, nothing exciting there.
Wednesday dawned with the knowlege that I had my very first ever gyn appointment.
First, though, I went upstairs to find that the kitchen was a mess again. Muttered and grumbled, and cleaned, had a small crying fit (I think a combination of frustration, PMS, and fear about the appt) then got ready for my appointment.
Here's a question for anyone who read past the cut and has had the gyn thing. Has anyone had problems with discomfort after a pap?
The appointment wasn't bad, she was nice, and it was quick, but about three hours afterwards, I started having a lot of pain. It reminded me of when I've gotten a little too enthusiastic with a dildo, and bumped my cervix. Sharp pains, worse with any sort of straining. Also, kinda painful with a full bladder. I was making little tombstone shaped shortbread for Samhain, and it was really fucking my shit up.
Jess made me take a hot shower, which helped some, and I laid down for the night. Upon coming back upstairs, for more painkillers, moving like an old woman, I found Shelly stomping around the kitchen. In my pain, I didn't clean up all the shortbread mess, and she gave me hell for doing what I'd bitched about.
I turned around, without getting the pain meds, and went back downstairs, whereupon I totally lost it, sobbing hysterically on poor Jess.
Today, I'm still sore, though it feels more like a gassy, bloaty, crampy pain, so I might be just getting my period. I still can feel the PMS, just under the surface, the irrational anger and upset shifting under a thin crust, so it should be a fun day.

HUG- I hope you feel better soon!
You'd think that female gyns (I prefer to see) would get rubber-coated speculums and warm them up first too. And take a moment before ramming it up in the tender spot. sheesh.
I say there should be a D/s gyn, all the staff in latex catsuits and zippered rubber masks, and of course the requisite naughty/nice things they do to you while you are getting the exam. I mean hey, even the harshest Dom will stroke his pets while spanking them! hehe. sorry. This is the next big money-making venture out there. Move over stripper-barbers!
And I totally get the kitchen freak-out- mine is so bad from T being in charge of it that my dining room table has been employed to hold all the dirty dishes he is not washing like he's supposed to. Do you see me breaking first? Hell no. I make him bring me my dinner so I don't have a stroke when I walk in there. One day, though, I'm going to snap and you will see headlines "Man killed by being clubbed by dirty frying pan, film at 11."

Is why it's best to get smears done mid-cycle, like two weeks after your period. Usually they won't do them close to or just after over here for those reasons and because high hormone levels can change the cervix and give off readings I believe.
And believe me having a vault smear is somewhat more unpleasant *shudder*

*cuddles* either way. Hope you're feeling better.

And yeah, it's probably aggrivated by your PMS...

I'm sorry you have a sprain, though. But I'm glad it's not a kidney stone. That would suck mightily. *nod*
