So, yes. Still sick. Not sleeping worth crap due to coughing. Feverish. Generally not a happy camper.

Then, the best part of my day off...last night, I did what we always tell our patients to do. Steamy shower, followed by cool air. Helps to loosen the phlegm.

Took a shower, and went out back to get air. Decided to sit on the swing, as it's soothing, and the night was pretty.

Promptly lost my balance, and tipped backwards. Made a grab, managed to snag the chain. Sadly, it was the front chain, which simply sped the progress backwards.

Landed on the top of my back, basically the ball of my shoulders. The good: It wasn't my head. The bad: Fucking OW!

Continued rotation, ending up on my stomach, eating grass. Somewhere along the way, I took a nice gouge out of my right shoulderblade (right under where the bra strap hits, fucking ow, again) and left my back and hands bruised.

Today, feel like a truck hit me, then reversed and ran over me again. Am at work, for now. Not planning on it lasting long, though. Will stick it out as long as possible, then the patients will have to suck it up.

Oh I'm so sorry. But dang that sounded specatcular. I HIGHLY recommend codiene. When I had the near death flu, taking codiene for my migraine stopped the cough DEAD in it's tracks. Helped me sleep blissfully and ignore the fever. Plus I'm sure it will make the rest of your body feel better/numb. *smooches* Hope you get/feel better soon.

*snuggle* It's not thrilled with me, but it's hard to tell whether I did more damage or not. I figure in a couple days, when all the swelling and bruising eases up, I'll know for sure.

(Btw, I feel like a total shit for missing your birthday, but at that point, focusing on the screen made me nauseous. So belated happy birthday, and I'll make it up to you when I see you again. *nod*
