I was just doing my thing hanging out at the spot
I am all fucked up on days with this schedule. It's either a day I have to work, or a day I don't. Days of the week have ceased to have all meaning. According to my computer, it's Tuesday. Huh. It's my second to last day of the week, so like my Thursday. I guess as long as I go to work on the days I'm supposed to, I'm good.
Apparently, they celebrated Veteran's day on Friday, so that'll be on this week's check, which will be nice. I dub it "turkey dinner from Cracker Barrel for our Friday Thanksgiving." I work on Thanksgiving, so rather than pick up the turkey early and Jess have to cook it all, I figured we'd wait til Friday to do our dinner.
Yesterday kind of started out as a shitshow, but I recovered in the afternoon somewhat, and actually had some good calls. I even got signed off on a protocol for one, which I was beginning to think would never happen. I'm hoping today I can build on the momentum. That would be nice.
If our checks come in early tomorrow, I may see if one of my other classmates wants to go get a late lunch/early dinner when we're done. She sounded like she was even worse off than me, and maybe she could use a little time to vent. We'll see.
I've gotta find a container so I can take a salad with some ham, but I don't think we have any. Next Walmart order, I suppose. I'll just make a sandwich for today. I don't think I'm eating enough while I'm at the center, so I'm going to try to fix that. It's hard to eat while you're on the phones, since you never know when a call is going to come in. I'm not even drinking all my coffee most days. I wish there was a Starbucks on the way up, but we're in the middle of rolling countryside. There's a 7-11 and a Subway. That's about it. And the Creamery, of course.
I'm still struggling to get used to the new schedule, too. 7am-3pm is just weird. I get home by like 3:45, depending on traffic, and it feels like a long stretch til bedtime. It's been an adjustment from getting home around 5:30.
Okay, I'm going to go make myself something for lunch. Everyone have a most excellent Tuesday!
