Oh the loneliness has always been a friend of mine

Monday is so Monday. I woke up at 1:30am with my lower back aching and anxiety high. It was not a good combo, as I didn't really get back to sleep til after 4am. The alarm at 6 was entirely unwelcome.

Work yesterday was kind of nice. I didn't have to do the delivery updates, just everyone's markets. It was almost relaxing.

Of course, then my manager pulled me into a meeting with another team lead to go over our new protocol for long haul pickups. It's something I've been working on, but more than 5 minutes warning would have been nice. The meeting went well despite the lack of advanced notice, and now I will probably have another meeting with the other manager's team to tell them how to do their job.

In the meantime, I feel like my team needs a retraining on the pending queue. People are overlooking easy stuff and coming to me to ask questions, and it's basic stuff. And then they're coming to me and asking me why this and that hasn't been done, and I'm like...because the workflows are completely wrong? And these are people who should definitely know better.

Yoda again has poopy butt. He's currently hiding under the bed. This of course is making me anxious. I'm going to call the vet when they open and see if we can get an appointment for a sanitary shave soon. I will fucking hate it, because the vet can be a bit judgey, but we gotta. His grooming appointment isn't for another 2 weeks, so we gotta do something. If he'd just let us use a wet wipe, we'd be all good, but no, he gets all snappish and screams like someone's killing him.

Today, we have PT and OT coming in. This is the PT's last chance before she gets heaved out the door. She really kind of sucks. Seems to take it personally that he can't do what she wants. Yells at him for not breathing correctly when his blood oxygen level is low. She just really sucks, and Jess doesn't deserve to have to deal with her. If Yoda stays under the bed, I will be mobile during her appointment, and will be able to help, which would be nice.

Last night we had a lovely game of Call of Cthulhu, run by [personal profile] poisontaster. It was a lot of fun. We'd all loaded up the soft skills like library use and (in my case) sleight of hand and appraise, so when we got to the combat at the end of the game, the Benny Hill theme started playing. Eventually we got it done, but it was a comedy of errors. I continued my string of doing the buckwild thing by approaching the evil idol, ripping my shirt off and covering it like a parrot. I lost 6 sanity points for my little stunt, but it was totally worth it.

Wednesday, we have another game [personal profile] poisontaster is running, Brindlewood Bay, about a very Murder, She Wrote town and it's senior sleuth population. I'm looking forward to it, though i haven't really figured out my character yet.

Okay, time to get my ass in gear and consider pants and work. Everyone have the very best Monday!
