Been travelin' in packs that I can't carry anymore
Tuesday, whoo! It's my hump day! And yet again, I didn't sleep as well as I'd like. Kept waking up convinced that it was nearly 6 am. The first time, it was 11:39. WTF, brain. It's like you've got stress or something.
Work yesterday was moderately stressful. Ostensibly, I was working in the Pending Returns queue, but in reality, I was the head organizer of the queue, and thus spent most of my time fielding questions from the people working it (who make more than I do) and picking up calls from my manager. I think I talked to him like four times yesterday.
Then, at the end of the day, we discussed pitching a big change to the way the out of market cases are handled, so I was making a pitch deck. I love powerpoint, but when you know that there's a good chance it'll be shown to some important people, you want it to be the best. I will probably work on it some more today to make it more IKEA.
After work it was over to see Dad. He apparently was able to walk between the parallel bars for a few steps, which is awesome. It also means that it's time to figure shit out at home, since I don't know how much longer he'll be at the rehab. A bit longer I think, but he's definitely improving.
Confab is this weekend, so I've gotta get my panel together and get ready for that. I'm on volunteer duty for three shifts, which isn't bad at all. They're all on Saturday, so I'll have my Sunday to prep my game and help players with their character sheets or to answer any questions.
Okay, going to go forth and get some pants on and finish my first cup of coffee. It's probably going to be another day of shepherding the specialists through the queue. Everyone have a wonderful Tuesday!
