Picturing a future, then tossing it out the window
For end of March, it's still pretty freaking cold here in the morning. I just took the dog out and damn, it was chilly. I know in another few weeks, I'll be wishing for that cold, but for the moment I'm debating putting on a sweater.
I have the inbox this morning, so I'll actually have something to do until 1pm when coworker S comes in to take over. Also, J is out, so I'll have his markets to do as well. Then, it's off to see dad after work is over.
Still waiting to hear about the last job I interviewed for. The manager who interviewed me said it would be midweek this week, but one of the other TLs said maybe next week. It's annoying the crap out of me. I just want a yes or no. I hate to say it, but should it be another no, I'm going to have to seriously reevaluate my career goals with IKEA. Especially when so many other companies are doing fully remote work. I don't dislike my current job, and it pays fairly well, but I'm bored, and so tired of going the extra mile while getting nothing in return. There's only so long you can sit there waving going "notice me" before you get sick of it.
Once I finish work, it's off to see Dad, who was moved into the rehab last night. We didn't get our first choice, so hopefully this one will be okay. We're definitely going to be up their ass about him this time. He's still a little confused here and there, which concerns me. I don't know if the infection did permanent damage or if he's still recovering.
Tomorrow, it's off to the office, whoo. Then afterwards, I have an appointment to book my first ever vacation as a travel agent. One of my coworkers wants to take a cruise.
Okay, time to go forth and get ready for work. Everyone have a wonderful Wednesday!
