Since I was close and able I jumped up on the coffee table
Morning is way too early today. I just want to crawl back in bed and stay there for awhile. But alas, work.
It probably won't be particularly bad today. I'm just going to relax and do my markets. Maybe at lunch, I will go get my car as it is ready. It was fucking expensive. $1200, and that's not even everything that needs to be done. It needed a new alternator (I figured) a new battery and a new belt. It still needs new rear shocks and springs and a valve replaced. None are pressing, so they're going to wait s few weeks. I was hoping around $800, so this kind of sucks, but fortunately we had enough. If I don't get myself together at lunch, I'll have to rush over when I get off work, as the garage closes at 5 and I get off work at 4:30, so I will probably do it on lunch.
I went and saw Dad yesterday. He was very chatty, and well oriented. He still has a few points of confusion, like him thinking that sometimes, he's in a different room, more like. a bedroom. I tried to tell him that he hasn't gone anywhere except for tests, but he stubbornly is sticking to his story. It seems like everything that's from before the last three or so weeks is clear. Anything more recent is a muddle. Which makes sense. He finished his last dose of the heavy duty antibiotics last night, so we're going to have to see what the plan is. One doctor seems to think they should do more testing to see where the infection is, but the weekend doctor is talking about discharging him soon to a rehab. So, we'll have to see what is going to happen.
If we can get it, we're considering sending him to MD Masonic rehab. It's a bit further from the house, but it has good reviews, and people I know who have had their parents there loved it. I'm sure he's going to be cranked off about going to a rehab again, but we just cannot support him at home as it is. When he had covid in January, we were looking at the Masons, but they wouldn't accept him with covid. Which I totally understand. So, we'll see if they have room for him. Fingers crossed.
We had our first Monster of the Week with the chaos gremlins in 3 months. I've missed it so much. I had the best time throwing up obstacles for them to work around. It was a weekend of two really fun games and I enjoyed it entirely. Next weekend we only have a Friday night game, and then we're off to the movies on Saturday morning for the D&D movie!
Okay, time to get some more coffee and get my shit together. Everyone have an awesome Sunday!
