The spirits, they intoxicate me. I've watched them infiltrate my soul
And a happy Thursday morning from a wet and possibly icy Baltimore. I'm off from work today (which is good, because I can fall just fine on wet pavement. I don't need to throw ice in there too). Originally, I had an appointment with my new doctor at 10, but I rebooked for next week, anticipating that I might not want to drive across town in this weather. Jess has their doctor appointment this afternoon, but everything should be fine by then. Either way, we're going to Jess' appointment.
They've been having abdominal/pelvic/back pain for a long time. They've had various scans and appointments, and at the end of the visit, every doctor says "this isn't my speciality, you need a _____." So, we're finally going to see a GYN, who hopefully will have some suggestions. Most likely, it's a nasty case of endometriosis, but it would be nice if we could confirm that so we can move onto things we can do to help it. They've been in a pretty fair amount of pain, and that needs to stop.
I worry about them with vacation, and I've offered to postpone. We could go somewhere for a week anyway, just somewhere less physically strenuous. But they have declined that option.
In other Disney news, we were discussing it last night and now it seems like my brother in law is waffling on whether he can watch dad on Friday. This might mean that we're not able to leave early for our first day of travel. This...is not ideal. I was hoping to leave at 1pm, giving us 11 hours to make it as far as Savannah, GA to stop for the night. The plan was that we wanted to make it about 2/3 of the way to Disney, so that the next day we only had about 5-6hours. Now, that's all blown to hell. If he can't watch dad, it would put us in Savanah between 3-4am. I don't know that it's worth it to get a hotel to be able to sleep 5 hours. I'm going to see if there's a hotel that'll let us have late check out, but we'll see. It's just frustrating, since this has been planned since January, and now, 50 days out, we get this complication. We'll work it out.
It's another weekend of D&D games, so that'll be fun. We've got Frostmaiden tomorrow, Dragon Heist on Saturday and Witchlight reloaded on Sunday. All in all, it should be a good time. It sounds like a good way to usher in 50 overall.
Okay, I believe I am now going to go play some Dreamlight Valley. It's Disney's answer to Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing, but with Disney characters, and I'm really enjoying it so far. It's still in pay to play status, though apparently it will be going free in the new year.
Everyone have a wonderful Thursday!
