I hear them whisperin' 'bout the places that you've been
And, it's the most annoying day of the week again! And I'm up early to get myself together to drag my ass into the office. Then, afterwards, I get home, and leave almost immediately so that I can go up and get my Covid booster and flu shot (depending on how I feel after work). I really should do it, since it's the last "free" weekend I have until the middle of November. I have Confabulation on Saturday-Sunday, but on Saturday I'm just volunteering to watch the Discord for a couple of hours, so if I don't feel 100%, it's not horrible. On the other hand, I do have to cook dinner, so it might be hard to do that, plus shot.
Yesterday, I spend in my little office, with my new painting and my classy desk and was bored. I got my stuff done by 9:45, and as usual, poked at the pending returns queue. Not exciting. Actually the pending returns queue is annoying. It's all the cases that got dumped there by Authorizations and Casework, and more than half were created incorrectly. As it is not my life's goal to clean up other people's messes, it is not my favorite thing.
I did have my October 1 on 1, which was short and sweet. It boiled down to "You're awesome, can you train other people to be awesome too?" Which, no, I probably can't, but I'll try. They mostly want me to make up training material for some of our odder emails.
After work, I finally put together our new bedframe. It purported to take 20 minutes. An hour later, I finally drove the last screw. It wasn't hard per se. Just some big pieces to slot together. But it got done, and we slept on it last night. It was very nice to be able to just swing my legs out of bed rather than crawling off the floor.
Then, it was D&D time! Last night was mostly plotting, and then dodging a fallen angel who meant them harm. They came up with a clever solution and were rewarded by not being curb stomped.
Today, I shall go into work. M already told me that she's not coming in, so I'll be on Delivery Updates, so I'll have something to do.
On that note, time for me to start getting myself together. Unfortunately, pants are not optional. Everyone have a terrific Thursday!
