I'm in love with the shape of you
Finally Friday! A day of rest and relaxation. And therapy and psych appointments for both Jess and I. I've got my psych doc at 10:30, then therapy at 12. We'll see if I connect better with my therapist this time. Otherwise, I may try switching to another one. He's very nice, just kind of bland. He didn't really react to anything I told him, and it was hard to get any traction. So, we'll see.
Then, tonight we have D&D. It's a three game weekend. Frostmaiden today, Monster of the Week tomorrow and Witchlight on Sunday. Probably the last Witchlight as they are SO close to the end of the module, I'm not sure how they could possibly not be done. All that's left is to touch a unicorn horn to the witch queen and unfreeze her. They know where she is, they have the unicorn horn. There's still a bit to explore, but still. Pretty much done. I will come up with a combat scenario for them to play after, since they've done the pacifist run for the module.
Despite my worries, I got no pings on the job front while I was at work. It continues to be annoying.
Yesterday was a busy day for me. I had meetings off and on all day. The first was about the market changeover in Buffalo/Rochester, and it was pretty wild. We asked for one thing, and the developers were practically flouncing about it. Fortunately, that OD is a pretty strong personality, so she pushed them until they agreed to do it. It just was a deeply contentious meeting. To be honest, I'm not entirely clear why I was in it, but it was fascinating. I contributed where I could. Supposedly things should be rolled out today. Now, I just have to work on communication with the other departments, and cleaning up three weeks of messes. While normally that's not my problem, I have a feeling that former!manager is going to be pushing for it to be my problem. Which is fine, I like powerpoints.
Next was a team meeting/training. We watched a video. It was painful. My auditory processing disorder did not like the narrators' voices, and so I figure I got maybe half of what they were trying to convey. It sucked.
Then, onto my Performance Eval, which went both as expected and surprising. Expected, because as per everyone else, I got meets expectations. Unexpected, because my manager and I bonded over fandom as a whole, as well as TTRPGs. It ran pretty long and 90% was us just chatting. She remembers Fandom Wank and does RP here on Dreamwidth. So that was really cool. We hadn't really had much interaction before now, so it was really nice to get to know her.
Aside from that, all was quiet. Jess has been cleaning in preparation for BGE coming on Monday. We're getting a dumpster to get rid of some stuff. That's supposed to come today, so that's good.
Since I don't know what time the dumpster is coming, time for me to go put on pants. Have a wonderful Friday everyone!
