Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Another fun Saturday morning. Instead of an hour of peace, the dog kindly woke up the whole house, so I was forced to deal with everyone before I'd had coffee. Little fucker. I have now imbibed my coffee and am sitting with the whole family, isn't that great? I should have gotten up at 6:30 when I first woke up, but no, I decided to just lay there. Oh well, gonna have to make the best of it.
Didn't do a whole lot yesterday but relax until gametime. I did watch the new Top Gun movie on the pirate site, which was a nostalgia kick and a lot of fun. I thoroughly enjoyed it, even while realizing that it was totally military propaganda (thus why I watched it on the pirate site.). I remember the first one well-as I recall, I walked up to the little theater near our house to see it. And then I did it a couple more times. I'm kind of sorry I couldn't see this one on the big screen, because it was gorgeously shot. Even with a bunch of planes that all looked the same, I never had trouble knowing who was doing what. Also, I'm sure most of it was shot in green screen, but it looked phenomenal. All in all, my inner 80's teenager was very happy.
Discord was kind of being a bitch last night, or alternately, our internet connection was being a bitch, not really sure which. I kept going robotic or cutting out entirely, which was annoying. Hopefully, it behaves for the two games we have today.
I'm beginning to think I'm a little insane for scheduling two games today. I'm going to be exhausted by seven pm tonight, but it'll be good. I've gotta pull up my stuff for MotW, and re-read my notes, just so I remember what the fuck was going on. It's been a few weeks since we picked up this particular plot thread.
First, though, I'm running Death House from Curse of Strahd with Jess' friends. I'm being nice-they're level 3 instead of the level one they recommend. But it's also a small party, so it balances out. I should probably reread that, too, just so I'm ready. The last module was pretty puzzle heavy, and this one is pretty exploration heavy, so it should be interesting to see how it goes.
My sister is showing me TikToks. I'm in hell. Obviously, I need more coffee for this. Okay, I'm going to go put on pants and consider the merits of a second cup. Everyone have a lovely Saturday!
