Do you want to know about the deal that I'm making?

That fast, the weekend is over and it's back to work for me. I do not feel like doing this today. With the reorganization and everything being up in the air, it's been doubly hard to get enthused for doing my job. I've got the inbox today, so that's always fun. We'll see how bad it is when I get in there and if anything else gets done.

Yesterday was a mostly chill day. It was a rainy mess, so my sister decided not to go out. Which obviously meant that Jess and I had to get out of the house. We tried a new dispensary, which had a drive thru, which was awesome. They had a very hard to find strain that works exceedingly well for pain. Unfortunately, they only had it in bud form as opposed to pre-rolls. So, we also ended up buying a one-hit pipe and a grinder. Turns out that bud form is much stronger than pre-rolls, both in the taste and the potency. There was a lot of coughing involved and then Jess had to lay down until the munchies hit. But damn, the pipe was kind of cool.

We had lunch at a mostly deserted Mexican place near the dispensary, which had very good food. We both practically had to roll ourselves back to the car.

We were able to nail down the date for the new game yesterday. It's still about a month off, but I'm excited. It seems like there's a lot of room to play with the module. Much more open expansion, which is a nice change. I enjoy homebrewing shit, but it's also nice to have the bones of a story behind it. Frostmaiden is kind of my optimal game. There's plenty of quests that the players can go on, but there's also room for me to insert my particular kind of bullshit, too. Out of the last two games, I'm not sure that they've had one encounter that was actually in the module. And I know the next session is going to start with one that isn't either. After that, they may actually do something in the module. We'll see.

Tonight we play Witchlight. The players have to put on a play for the powerful hag. It has to be a tragic tale, and they're going to have to come up with shit on the spot. It should be deeply entertaining. The players are trying to make it through the module without resorting to combat, which is much more difficult than slaughtering your way through the countryside. So far, they've managed, and they're better than halfway through the module.

Okay, time to get myself together for this day. Have a great Sunday everyone!
