Reminds me that there's a time to change

Happy Thursday, y'all. I am up early, getting ready for a foray into the office. I don't really feel like it, but IKEA really doesn't give us that option. They did send out multiple texts yesterday that masks will now be required, since MD is in the high range. (We've been in the high range for about a week, so I'm not sure what took so long for the mandate to change.) It doesn't change anything for me, since I would have been wearing a mask anyway.

Of course, my team took this news about as well as a fart in church. There was much bitching on the team chat. Most of it was a sudden concern about having to go in. (Because apparently none of them have been paying attention.) But there was some whining about having to wear a mask as well.

I know I'm doing delivery updates today, because the coworker who normally does them flat out told me that she won't be in. So, that'll at least make me look busy for most of the day. I'm just going to sit in my little spot far away from everyone and do my thing.

Yesterday, I was on backup for the inbox, but the coworker who was on it is...a little slow. Really sweet, but not the quickest on the uptake, so I helped out more than I would have otherwise, so the day went relatively quickly.

After work, I went up to Safeway and picked up a few snackies and my prescription, then I headed over to Lovejoy's Market and picked up some stuff for dinner and lunch for me for today. I was going to use them for dinner today, but after being out in the heat, I just was not up for cooking, so we had it last night, and I'll cook tonight, whether I'm tired or not.

Last night, we watched the rest of Moonfall. It was aggressively stupid, but I kind of enjoyed it. As long as you can get on board with the bad science and outrageous pretense, it's a fun and very pretty movie. I felt a little bad, because they had this amazing cast, complete with Oscar winners, who had to say lines like "Sonny, the moon is going to help us!" I'll give them credit, they committed. I can't say I bought Patrick Wilson or Halle Berry as astronauts, but they tried, and overall, it was enjoyable. Totally worth the price of a VPN to use the free movie site.

Okay, I suppose it's time to go commit a clothing. Bra and shoes, ugh. Also to eat something, which is difficult for me. I normally don't eat until around 10am, but since I can't just run to the kitchen and throw something in the microwave, I'll get off my ass and do it now.

Everyone have a good Thursday!
