Find my shade by the moonlight
Upright again. Mornings are the worst. I was awake at 5, but refused to get up a minute before the alarm went off at 6. My back is still grumpy. It's not as bad as it was on Sunday, but it's still not easy to bend or get up. It's not making sleep great either, since if I hold position for too long it gets pissy.
This of course meant that I was up and down a lot yesterday during work. I still got everything done, but I needed to take occasional breaks to walk around a little bit.
T-minus 6 days til the ENT appointment. I'm really tired of being dizzy, so I'm hoping they have some suggestions. If not, the neuro is in a month, so my bases are covered. I especially want to know why it's worse later in the day. That just makes no sense to me. You'd think it would be worse when I first get up! Hopefully, this doctor is good, since I literally found them on Google. The ENT that my PCP referred me to didn't have an appointment until late June.
The leak about Roe v. Wade being overturned is giving me serious anxiety. I'm not surprised, but it's just barbaric. Every time something like this happens, it freaks me out hardcore. I hate feeling helpless. I already emailed my senators and representatives, for all the good that will do.
So, with that done, I'm going to go watch some Disney videos and try to settle down. I have two happy places right now. D&D and vacation. It doesn't seem like much, I'm sure. But for me, they're both sanity savers. Our Lancaster vacation is only 16 days away now.
I don't really know what we're going to be doing in Lancaster, which is a little tough for me. I like to have things planned, but aside from hitting a few outlet stores and some pool time, we really have nothing going on. I may be driving Jess insane by Saturday. We leave on Thursday, earlyish so my dizziness might not be too bad. We're stopping for lunch at Hoss' on the way up, and we want to hit the Old Navy outlet and the Disney outlet (don't judge me), and I'd like to go get ice cream from the good place in Strasburg. That's not much for three whole days. I'm sure we'll find other things to do, though. Annoyingly, thanks to the pandemic, I don't think we're going to be able to hit our normal places for dinners. I am not anywhere near ready to do a buffet. I also don't think I'm quite ready for Waffle House. Too small and close.
Okay, time to get myself together. Pants have been achieved, and it's time for a second cup of coffee. Everyone have a good Tuesday!
