But on a midnight watch I realized why twice you ran away

I did not want to wake up this morning. It was just painful to get out of my warm bed. I'm upright now, one cup of coffee in, and I'm still tired. I'll wake up eventually, but right now, I just kind of want to curl back up.

It's a busy day at work. I'm sure the markets all came in after I left, so I'll have that, then I have a training course, then oh goodie, a team meeting. We'll see how everyone's headsets work, which should be hilarious. I plugged mine directly into the laptop, so it should be fine, but we'll see. As usual, I'm expecting a bitching filled meeting. Not sure what about, but they'll find something.

Yesterday was, as predicted, fairly boring. Markets didn't come in while I was in, so I had not a single thing to do. I was feeling fairly lazy, so I didn't really go out and seek other shit to do, either. I just kind of sat there and moved the mouse now and then so I stayed in available on Teams.

It's a good thing since our direct manager (basically my boss' manager) decided it was a good day to do an icebreaker in our team chat. She tagged me first, probably because she knew I'd play along. I'm glad I was at my desk paying attention! my coworker cynically thinks it was a way to see who was actually at their desk and doing their job. I guess I passed, since I replied within a minute.

The question she asked was five things that make you smile. I came up with a nicely sanitized version, of course. I don't need my coworkers to know quite how much of a weirdo I really am. But now, the actual version:

1. My pets.
2. Jess
3. D&D
4. My upcoming vacations. We're down below 300 days on Disney!
5. My family. They make me insane, but I do love them.

Okay, time for me to wake up, and that means more coffee! Have a good Tuesday!
