When the dew is still heavy, so bright and early
Today, I start my early schedule. 8am-4:30pm for the rest of this week, then next week is my overtime week, and I'll be 8am-6:15pm. I want the money of OT, but I'm going to be a tired puppy when next Friday rolls around.
The cat was an asshole last night/this morning. Drove Jess out of bed at 6am, when they could have slept for another 2 hours, but he was all "pet me, love me, no, don't sleep."
Today will be my first day of doing the updates from beginning to end. This should be interesting. I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing, but this will be the first day doing it in from the start time.
Dad's package has still not arrived. I'm assuming it's not making it for Christmas. It's in Baltimore, but needs to get to our local post office, and then to me, and I just don't see it in two days.
I continue to work to get my D&D game up and running. Still got a little over a week until the game, but I'll get as much done ahead of time as I can, so we can be ready to go out of the gate. There'll still be some work at the beginning of the game, of course. I'll reiterate the whole "X Card" for problematic content. (That's a system where the players can let me know that something is approaching content that is triggering for them by sending me a message of "N" and if it's tripped over into a problem, "X," so I can pull back/skate past it.) Otherwise, it's just basic housekeeping. A reminder to be courteous and not talk over each other as much as possible. I don't expect it to be a problem, but it never hurts to give a quick refresher.
I'm so glad that some of the people playing are part of my MotW game--I have an idea of playing styles, which helps.
