Wednesday
Today is another dreary day, that I wanted to sleep in for. My body wasn't going to let me do that, but I wanted it. I was Awake! at four thirty, but I laid in bed til six thirty, just hoping I could go back to sleep to help the headache I seem to have acquired. Bleh.
I got my match for CandySwap this year! I'm looking forward to finding some cool candy to send to them. My match is in the UK, so I want something that represents my native area well. As a result, I think it's going to be off to Ellicott City, to Sweet Cascades to get some cool chocolate flavors. Since I'm from Baltimore, I definitely have to include some Old Bay caramels. I will probably go a little overboard, but it's the holidays!
Continuing the slow motion anxiety attack that is the year. I've considered taking off the day after the election, but I don't really think we'll have results by then. I keep remembering the feeling after the 2012 election, when Obama won, and same sex marriage was ratified in MD, and how awesome that feeling was, and wondering if I'll ever have it again. I'm afraid to hope.
I'll probably vote on Friday in early voting. Hopefully if I go mid-day, the lines won't be too bad. Jess, I think, is going to go today. I'm off til 1, because Dad has a telehealth appt with his doctor, and he's really deaf, and she has an accent, so I bellow her questions at him.
Work has been boring. My markets have been sending things in sporadically, and they authorized OT to fix the other situation (just after I got trained on it finally), so I don't even have that to work on. I'm basically sitting on my ass most of the day. It's frustrating. There haven't even been any projects to work.
My manager is due to go out on maternity leave soon (she's due in mid-November), and the other manager just got a job with a defense contractor, so we have no idea what's going to happen on that front. Also up in the air, how long we're going to continue work from home. It's definitely through December. I don't expect to go back in January either. But beyond that, who knows? It would be nice if it was permanent. I like my little office.
