It's build day
The desk is coming together slowly. Very slowly. But we'll get it done eventually. It's a Brusali desk from IKEA, and of course, it seems to be one of the more labor intensive ones. It'll be a nice one once we get it together. Shelves for my shit, big enough to spread out the monitor. Maybe at payday, I'll buy a second monitor. Probably not, I'm pretty good with what I've got. In the office, we have two monitors, and I'll admit, I miss that a lot.
I am bored and having cabin fever. I want to do something, but of course, all the things I can do are closed, or outside. Of course, it's going to rain tomorrow, so that's out.
I do want to go to IKEA and get a desk lamp, so that's something I can do. My lungs are still a little fucked from COVID, so walking slowly around a store is probably my limit. Actually, that will most likely tire me out for the rest of the day. Plus, of course, I need to move my computer into my new office, so that's something.
Restaurants keep sending me emails with pictures of their tasty, tasty food, and I want. Sadly, I am not ready to eat in yet, even for Fogo de Chao. La Madeline keeps sending me offers of their amazing food, and I would kill a man for their strawberries Romanoff (which is a brandied sour cream sauce that I could eat with a spoon.) They also have it in French Toast format, which sounds amazing. The closest restaurant is a bit of a drive, but I may have to make a trip next weekend when I get paid.
