These are the reasons that I drink
...except not, because meds. Which is a shame, because our state currently is allowing restaurants to do take home booze, and the Mexican restaurant near us has kickass sangria basically in a sippy cup. (okay, it's a cup with a straw, but it's close enough.) I had some during the two weeks I was off the Lexapro, but not yet on Latuda. Now it's back to being dry for me. (I currently really want that sippy cup.)
The job rejection is still stinging, but as I said in an email, part of it is knowing that whoever they hire will get the next full-time managerial role, and I'm basically fucked for at least the next two rounds of hiring, assuming I can even get some leadership experience. I like my managers, but I don't really know how much they're able to help with that. And with the whiny idiots on my team, it would probably be an unmitigated disaster. They treat the managers like shit, so I can just imagine how they'd take orders from a fellow employee. My personal favorite was when they were asked to do some delivery updates in addition to their regular work they compared themselves to the slaves in Egypt, building the pyramids. What we do is not that fucking hard. And delivery updates are twenty to thirty minutes of mindless work.
