Work from home day 12. The cough is finally easing up, thankfully. I’m still tired a lot, but that may also just be a trauma response from worrying.
We’ve been getting our groceries through Instacart, and take out from DoorDash. I’m thankful that there are still people willing to deliver. Though I do see that Instacart is striking tomorrow, so I won’t order from there while that’s going on.
I did get ribeye steaks, so if the rain behaves one day, I can cook them on the grill. I very rarely shill for work, but the IKEA grill is top notch. It gets up to 600 degrees, and gives meat that good sear. Of course, you have to watch the food closely or you end up with charcoal, but if you’re willing to stand there, it’s totally worth it.
They changed my schedule to 8am to 4:30, which is nice. I’m up anyway, and it’s nice getting off 2 hours earlier. If they wanted to move us Monday to Friday, I wouldn’t complain. (That’s not likely to happen.)
Okay, time to put on pants and have a last cup of coffee.
