(no subject)

Sitting outside the dentist office so I can go in and get my root canal. Yick.

On the other hand, this is step one of getting things straightened out. I can't fix my neck or my fibro (shy of major surgery on the neck, at least). But I can start taking responsibility for this. I have AWESOME dental insurance that's going to allow me to do this. Finally.

I've spent most of my adult life being embarrassed about how my smile looks. In more recent years, especially, I haven't had the money to fix it, plus the neck issues make it a doubly unpleasant process.

But it's time. Hopefully, by Wincon, I'll have a nice smile for the first time since I was a teenager.

I'll be honest, I have an awesome dentist. I ended up needing 2 root canals this last year due to problems caused by my wisdom teeth, and after how much those teeth hurt, the root canals were actually the best thing ever. I felt so much better afterwards.

I think you have a perfectly beautiful smile as is, but I know what it's like when you see a smile that doesn't look like you want it to and that's connected to money and how that makes you feel, so I'll just wish you a very low pain day through all of this.

I hope everything went as painlessly as possible with the dentist. (dentists scare, big poof that I am) I have a friend who had the dental surgery to relieve the neck pain he suffered (former hockey player, so, yeah!) and he swears it'll help. So keep on smiling, sweetie.
