Don't overthink this, look in my eye

Still not 100% after my bout with nausea on Thursday, though to be fair, I'm not sure how much of that is that I totally forgot to take my morning pills yesterday, which includes two of my psych pills. My stomach mostly better, though I've also been babying it touch. It's currently gurgling and not overly happy about the cookies I had with my coffee this morning. I have no idea what pissed it off so much, but if I could figure it out, I'd promise not to do it again.

I forgot to mention, on Thursday before our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion meeting, we got an invite for the next meeting. It's a mandatory training session--in the office. They want us to come into the office to work for the day, and then have a two hour meeting. I'm not so sure about this. I mean, really, cases are surging and this seems like a good time for an in-person meeting? Unfortunately, it's with our People and Culture group, who have influence on promotions. If it wasn't, I'd probably gently bow out, but with this, I don't really feel like I can. Oh well, it's a month away, so I'll have to see how things are going.

Last night was D&D!

We picked up with our intrepid adventurers just after their last fight with a surrendered duergar. He tells them that he is loyal to Grandolpha, who was invited to the keep with an eye to making her Xardorok's fourth wife. She is fermenting a schism in the keep, planning to bring her mushroom ale making business to the surface. She agrees to get her people out of the way, and let the team have a free reign on the rest of the duergar. They head down and almost immediately are embattled in a fight as an invisible guard catches them. Three quaagoths, which are large underdark creatures are tormenting a spore servant, as they run past. The sorcerer walls them off with a wall of fire, and they proceed to the battle. A pile of duergar are whittled down by a good fireball, but more mecha atrocities are found. The quaggoths ford the wall of fire, and come up behind the team, giving them a battle on three fronts. The bard casts psychic lance on Xardorok from 100 feet away with him not in sight, because it is a badass spell.

The battle rages with the team breaking up to fight the three battles. The paladin and fighter take the quaggoths, leaving the sorcerer to fight with the NPC wizard, undead atrocity that's on our side, and the two ineffectual dwarves they hired for the battle. The rogues and cleric go to take on the mechs. The battle rages, with the team managing a slow war of attrition. The bard frightens one of the dwarves into running away! Fireballs are thrown. Eventually the quaggoths and duergar are taken care of, and the team focuses on the mechs. The halfling rogue goes to check out a nearby room, finding the keeps dungeon with another three mechs. The long held necklace of fireballs takes out the three with two beads. The rogue continues explorations and finds Xardorok. He enlarges and backhands the rogue for a substantial amount of damage as the team finally finish the mech off. With the boss fight about to commence we close for the evening. Worryingly, there are still two wizards unaccounted for. Will they show up for the big battle? We shall see!

And now it is time for more coffee! Have a good Saturday, y'all.
