Slow dancing to a silhouette

It's Friday! I slept in by almost a whole hour! It was very nice. Jess is awesome to let me sleep in on Fridays. It's the Up/Downside of retail. On one hand, I get a day off during the week. On the other, I only get one weekend day. Still, it works out. Two more weeks til my new schedule. I can't wait.

I ended up cancelling my sushi lunch for yesterday. The weather was bad enough that I couldn't in good conscience ask anyone to deliver. (I doubt they would have, but I was an adult, damn it) Hopefully, I can get something delivered today, because I still really want a California roll. And a Baltimore roll with Old Bay and crab, and maybe...okay, I just want all the sushi. And I'll get Jess appetizers, since they only like sushi from the place that's too far to deliver.

Jess is still sore, but maybe a little less. They still don't want to go to Urgent Care and since they're not having fever or nausea, I'm willing to wait.

Tomorrow, our usual trip to the Amish hellscape, proceeded by a trip to the bank (unless the new card miraculously comes today). We're going to get a lot of meat, and maybe some other goodies. My sister has requested cheese, to go with the frankly stellar lunch meat, and there is a bakery that I haven't been able to hit due to finances. We may also go to another grocery store that apparently sells ready to serve bao. I don't actually give a shit about the rest of what they have, though we'd probably have to get their orange creme cake for Jess, as it is baller. (I am not a fan of fruit in my desserts-except rasberry and apple. I will make exceptions for those.)

Today, we'll probably watch the rest of Gods of Egypt, which so far has been a bad, bad movie. Amazon Prime Video is a hell of a thing. All the older movies that I had a little too much self respect to see in the theaters laid out for the taking. (God it's bad, and so utterly whitewashed. For an Egyptian pantheon, there's all of one black god. Who promptly goes on his knees before the soon to be coronated king of the gods.) Just bad, y'all. I shall have to look to see what will be the next movie to suck up my screen. Unfortunately, the new Nic Cage movie, Willy's Wonderland, is $19 to rent. When it goes down in price, it's definitely on my list of movies to see, because the trailer was bonkers, and looked right up my alley. I mean, it's a Nic Cage movie, so it has that going for it.
