More snow for us later this week. How much? Ha! This is Maryland. We have no clue.
I'm on the early schedule for the rest of this week, so I can do the delivery updates. My coworker is out, so I'm the sub. I just appreciate being allowed to work the early shift when I do it, because part of what we pull is just painfully slow later in the morning. Once the stores get on the system it goes from being able to pull 40,000 entries down to 4,000. Which when you're pulling upwards of 100,000 gets old real fucking fast. I got up at 6, so I'll still have my 2 hours to relax before I start work.
I have my break at 9:30, so I'll get Dad up then. Apparently the new schedule starts on March 7th, which seems like a long way away. But that fulfills our 21 day until a new schedule starts policy, and is also at the beginning of a pay period. (not that it changes what we get paid, but I guess it makes it easier on the managers? Makes no sense to me.)
Apparently, there was a football game this weekend? I only really cared about the new Falcon and the Winter Soldier trailer, which was pretty awesome. As I saw on Twitter, I love that Bucky, who has suffered immeasurable trauma is really just annoyed with the world. as opposed to a brooding Byronic hero. And I love Bucky and Sam's relationship. It's a trope old as time, usually played for a will they won't they couple, ala Moonlighting, which we of course, will not get here, but I'm still hoping for all the slashfics out of it. Because those are two exceptionally pretty men. I may be a Bucky/Steve shipper, but I am not going to say no to Bucky/Sam, either.
Three days til D&D! My TTRPG weekends are the highlight of my weeks. I'm really grateful to the fan who came out of Con.txt going "I want to start a fannish games server." It's been amazing for combating the pandemic blahs. I know I need every other weekend off to get stuff done, but I still find myself wishing every weekend could be D&D weekend.
